AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has cooled talk of a January deal for Cagliari striker Alessandro Matri.

Galliani admits the striker is admired at Milan.

"Matri is liked by Massimiliano Allegri who bossed him at Cagliari," he said.

"However, I know that Cagliari won't sell any players in January as they are battling to avoid relegation."
