AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani is quietly confident Antonio Cassano will play again this season.

Cassano underwent a heart operation before Christmas and has been recovering ever since.

"Cassano is well and I hope for some pleasant news shortly," Galliani tweeted in response to the question, before also being asked about Alexandre Pato's on-going issues with physical fitness.

"Pato had no accidents in the first two years [with Milan] but has had many in the following two. We need to understand why."
