AC Milan coach Max Allegri will welcome Paolo Maldini to the club - should he arrive.
Maldini was expected to replace Adriano Galliani, before the latter was confirmed today as general manager.
"I've known Paolo since I first arrived at Milan, but the situation is evolving and there's no point talking about it now. The club will do what is best for Milan."
