AC Milan boss Allegri left sweating on Pato injury

AC Milan boss Max Allegri is concerned over Alexandre Pato's leg injury suffered in their 1-1 draw with Udinese.

Substitute Stephan El Shaarawy came off the bench to score his debut Serie A goal.

Allegri said, "Without Pato, we had no more centre-forwards, so had to adapt with Alberto Aquilani, Antonio Cassano and towards the end Urby Emanuelson who were taking that role in turn.

"We hope it's nothing serious for Pato, but El Shaarawy did well when he was called upon. At the moment we have 12 players out injured and haven't got a single striker, so I am amazed people can criticise or doubt I can hold on to the bench."
