Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich won't consider coughing up big for Sevilla wing-back Daniel Alves, until Arjen Robben is sold to Real Madrid.
The saga demonstrates the continued tensions at the club, with Abramovich undermining the negotiations of the chief executive, Peter Kenyon, who thought he had agreed deals for both players, and the will of the manager, Jose Mourinho.
The Independent says sources claim that Abramovich still feels aggrieved at the fees that he has been paying and has told executives that he would like them, if possible, to finance the Alves deal fully with the sale of Robben - if that goes ahead.
