Sone Aluko is targeting a run in the Birmingham first team once he completes his loan spell with Aberdeen.
"I have really improved as a player at Aberdeen.
"I wanted the chance to test myself against some of the best in the game and I think I did that against Bayern and also Celtic in the Scottish Cup.
"The next step is to put that to good use back in England. As a Birmingham fan as well as a player, I'm hoping they stay up. It's very important for the club and the city and I think it can be done.
"I speak to a few of the players back home and they are enjoying life under Alex McLeish. The style of football is more attacking than before and that would suit me if I can force my way into the team."
