Aberdeen's Chalali desperate to kick on after debut goal

Mohamed Chalali is keen to continue producing for Aberdeen following his first goal for the club on Monday.

The Algeria U23 international, who left Greek club Panionios for the Pittodrie Stadium in August, leveled for the Dons in their 2-1 win at Dundee United and he is hoping he can kick on for the clubs loyal supporters now he has broken his duck after 10 appearances.

"One goal is nothing," Chalali told the club's online TV channel. "I want to give more. I want to prove the coaches did not make a mistake when they signed me.

"When I was warming up the fans were singing my name," he added. "I felt I had to give something back for the confidence they gave me.

"When they sing your name it is because they want to push you to do well."
