Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes is being linked with a return to West Bromwich Albion.
The Daily Star says the prospect of Pepe Mel being replaced in the summer is being openly discussed behind the scenes at the Hawthorns and a parting of the ways could suit both parties.
Former Baggies midfielder McInnes was named Scottish manager of the year on Sunday after leading Aberdeen to their first trophy since 1995 when they lifted the league cup in March.
Aberdeen are also second in the league and reached the Scottish Cup semi-finals in McInnes's first year in charge.
