Yuki Abe has left J-League club Urawa Reds to join English Championship outfit Leicester City.
The 28-year old Japan international was linked with the Foxes for the last few weeks of the transfer window before finally having a deal complete on the final day.
Abe kicked off his professional career in 1998 with JEF United where he spent close to eight years and win tow J-League titles before moving to Urawa where he helped win the 2007 Asian Champions League.
The 49-time capped Japan representative will be eligible for Leicester's trip to Coventry City when the Championship returns after the international break.
