A-League youngsters help Young Socceroos to victory in Argentina

The Qantas Young Socceroos have defeated the USA 3-1 in the Copa Ciudad de Rosario tournament in Argentina.

A-League youngsters Jason Naidovski (Newcastle Jets), Isaka Cernak (Brisbane Roar) and Chris Payne (Sydney FC) all netted within the final six minutes of play to give the Young Socceroos a dramatic finish to their campaign after being a goal down in the first half.

Coach Jan Versleijen was delighted with the team's performance after the match.

"It was a great effort. I believed we deserved a draw and to get 3 goals in the last 6 or 7 minutes of the game was amazing," said Versleijen.

"The win has come at a great time in the tour as we have played some tough games and this will give the group a lot of confidence.

"It was a great reward for the players and a good way to finish the tournament."
