A-League Round 2 - Central Coast Mariners v Adelaide United

The final match of Round 2 is played on Sunday between Central Coast Mariners and Adelaide United.

The Mariners were the only side to win on the opening weekend, narrowly edging Melbourne Heart away from home, and Graham Arnold's men will take plenty from that performance.

Central Coast were disciplined in their game plan under Arnold and will need to be on their game again when a determined Adelaide United come to town.

The Reds are fired up to avenge for last season's wooden spoon and although they did not get the result they were after against Newcastle Jets last week, a scoreless draw was enough to kickstart their season of redemption and they will come to Gosford ready to play.

However, I believe this match has a 0-0 draw written all over it as the Mariners don't seem to have too much zing in attack and the Reds laboured through the midfield last week causing little ado up front.

Verdict: 0-0 draw.
