The Phoenix are coming off a solid 2-0 away win over the Central Coast Mariners whilst the Roar's last outing was a 5-1 demolition at the hands of Gold Coast United. Wellington should be good enough to win this one at home and replace Brisbane in the top six.

Central Coast have dropped their last four matches and slipped to eighth on the table whilst their opponents, North Queensland, have been mixing their form with two wins and two losses from their past four. The Mariners have been ok at home this year and will need to turn their form right around to pinch a win over the Fury but the visitors should be good enough to at least record a draw.

This is shaping as the match of the round with fourth-placed Newcastle taking on second-placed Melbourne. The Jets took a hefty 4-0 beating in Perth last start after winning four in a row as the Victory surrendered top spot, losing to North Queensland. It is not often that the reigning champions drop two in a row and with key players returning, they are capable of taking all three points home with them despite the fact Newcastle have a superior head-to-head record.

Finally, Perth Glory take on league leaders Sydney FC at Members Equity Stadium. The Glory recorded a solid 4-0 victory last time out against the previously in-form Newcastle as Sydney jumped to the top of the table with a home win over Adelaide.
