500 West Ham fans so important in Andorra – Lee

West Ham United striker Elliott Lee has paid tribute to the 500 fans who travelled to Andorra to watch their side's Europa League qualifying second leg clash against FC Lusitanos.

The West Ham fans are certainly a passionate bunch and this fact was epitomized by the fact that 500 supporters made a trip all the way to Andorra La Vella to watch their second leg after last week's 3-0 home win.

Hammers striker Elliott Lee has acknowledged the fact that the supporters have had to go through a lot of trouble to attend the game and has thanked the 500 who were present at the 1,300-capacity Estadi Comunal d'Andorra la Vella on Thursday night.

Lee told the club's official website: "I don't know if the fans realise how much help they were to the lads today.

"It's a massive credit to them coming out this far. It's a two hour flight, then a three or four hour bus journey so massive credit to all the fans and I'm really happy we could get the win for them."
