10-goal play-off win 'worst game of football' Swindon boss Cooper has endured!

Swindon Town boss Mark Cooper has said that he did not at all enjoy the thrilling 5-5 League One semi-final play-off against Sheffield United.

The Robins drew 5-5 against United in the second leg of the semi-final play-off encounter at the County Ground on Monday night and as a result, managed to seal their place in the final at Wembley with an aggregate score of 7-6.

The match was certainly a thrilling watch for the fans but Swindon's Cooper described it as the worst game of football he has ever been through.

Asked whether he enjoyed the match, Cooper told Sky Sports: "Not at all. Not one minute. I can honestly say that's the worst game of football I've ever been through in terms of feelings. Incredible.

"[It was] torture. I enjoyed the first however many minutes when we were 3-0 up. We started brilliantly, and then our defending after that left a lot to be desired.

"We've got a lot of work to do, but we're pleased to be through. Full credit to Sheffield United, [they] came and made a good game of it."

Swindon next meet Preston North End in the play-off final on May 24 with the winner joining Bristol City and MK Dons in the Championship next season.
