Real Mallorca coach Javier Aguirre says Rafa Marquez is capable of taking charge of Barcelona.

The Barca Atletic coach has been mentioned as a potential successor for Xavi.

Aguirre is a former coach of the Mexican great and said: “He has had great teachers and great coaches in his career, he has come from 'Can Barca'.

"He knows what this is about, he has a very good personality to be a coach, he is physically good and he is young.

"I think Rafa is ideal."
