PSG midfielder Ander Herrera has rejected the chance to talk up the prospect of Barcelona star Lionel Messi joining them next season.

Herrera is well aware of the controversy comments from PSG teammates about Messi have made in his homeland.

He told El Larguero: "Link up Neymar, Kylian Mbappé and Lionel Messi? I don't know how financial fair play works, but I don't believe it, although anything is possible in football.

"Last year, when everyone in Barcelona was telling us about Neymar, we didn't like it. As I didn't like it, I'm not going to talk about a Barça player. I have a lot of respect for FC Barcelona, their coach and of course for Leo Messi and I will not dwell on this subject.

"Leo Messi is the best player I have ever seen and the best I have ever played against."
