Football League scouts were out en force for Newcastle United's 2-1 Under-21 Premier League Cup win over Crewe Alexandra at Whitley Park.
Toon midfielder Gael Bigirimana and forward Haris Vuckic both played 90 minutes for United.
The pair are candidates to go out on loan before the Football League's emergency loan window closes on Thursday.
Bigirimana trialled with Yeovil Town earlier this month.
