Rangers director of football Gordon Smith has no worries with players receiving bans if they are found guilty of simulation.
'Gers winger Sone Aluko has been suspended for two matches for diving in the weekend's 2-1 win over Dunfermline Athletic and although the reigning Scottish champions are set to challenge the ban, Smith insists that if players are guilty of the act then they should serve the time.
"If the player is guilty of simulation I would have no problems with him being banned for it," he told the Herald.
"I didn't bring it in to protect certain people. But I did realise at the time it would have to be clear cut, that there would be scenarios where players would be mildly touched.
"I did think it would have to be a case almost of no contact whatsoever had to be proved."
