Sven-Goran Eriksson's job at Shanghai SIPG is reportedly in danger as the club owners are contemplating former Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas as his replacement.
Eriksson could only lead the club to the third spot in the recently concluded Chinese Super League season and owners are said to be dissatisfied with the finish after spending £45million on Brazilian striker Hulk.
According to Sky Sports, former England and Manchester City boss Eriksson, who has one year left on his deal, is currently involved in talks with the club over his future.
The Swede is interested in extending his spell in Shanghai but SIPG have Villas-Boas lined up just in case they opt to go down a different path.
