Chelsea winger Mudryk wins praise for Forest performance

Chelsea winger Mykhaylo Mudryk won praise after victory at Nottingham Forest yesterday.

Mudryk struck the opener in the 3-2 win.

Former Arsenal striker Alan Smith told Sky Sports: "Mykhaylo Mudryk is looking a bit more like it lately.

"It helps that this is his fifth start on the trot, that is his best.

"He's bound to gain a bit more match sharpness and rhythm and there should be a lot more to come from the lad. He looks to be heading in the right direction."

Smith added: "Inch-perfect precision in the pass and the finish. He starts really wide here, Mudryk, and makes that diagonal run out to it. No surprise Cole Palmer sees the run and delivers perfectly, as does the Ukraine international.

"I earmarked him at the start, and that will push him along on his journey. Lovely finish, great start for Chelsea."
