Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is chasing PSG striker Edinson Cavani as his top summer transfer target. Mourinho is concerned that Atletico Madrid are pushing Diego Costa to sign new terms and so taking him off the market.
L'Equipe says the Blues boss is turning to Cavani as he seeks a world class goalscorer to solve his striker problems this season.
Cavani's representatives were in London last month to sound out interested Premier League clubs, including Chelsea and Manchester United.
AS Nancy coach Pablo Correa, meanwhile, has urged Cavani to stay with PSG.
The Uruguayan remarked: "It would be a bad idea for Edi to leave Paris."
