Bologna coach Thiago Motta was left delighted with their 2-0 win against Torino.
On Monday night, Bologna won 2-0 thanks to goals from Giovanni Fabbian and Joshua Zirkzee.
Motta said: “We had a good performance against a complicated team. Up until the goal the game was very close, they are strong in duels. After Fabbian's goal the game opened up more and we converted some scoring opportunities, ending with Zirkzee's goal to close the game.
“So far I am very satisfied. Kids do amazing things. We did great things with a very different squad from last year. There is one important thing to underline, that is, the way we work and help each other. This makes it easier to play matches. Today we played the game we needed to win."
On Zirkzee, he said: “He has great potential, last year he had some adaptation difficulties but today he's capable of doing a complete job. He is technical and very physical. He manages to do both phases well.
"Today he attacks the depth well. Attackers live by this. Sometimes he is a little frustrated because I ask him to do many things but he is a boy who is hungry and who works well from day one.
"Everything else then comes from him. He is a very high quality player. He deserves everything he is experiencing today. He just has to keep working and not change anything."
