Bayern Munich may hold the edge over Liverpool in the race to sign a young midfielder.
The two clubs are being linked to Schalke 04's 17-year-old talent Assan Ouedraogo.
The youngster has made a fantastic start to the new season in Bundesliga 2, after the club's relegation last season.
Ouedraogo has already become the club's youngest debutant and goalscorer this term.
Manchester United have also been keeping tabs on his progress, but Bayern are said to have the edge.
Sky Sports Germany's reporter Florian Plettenberg states German clubs only have to pay a maximum of €12 million to sign him, while other European teams would have to pay nearly double.
