Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone is confident facing Real Madrid in their Spanish Super Cup semifinal.

The tie is being held in Riyadh on Wednesday.

Simeone said, "LaLiga is different, because it is longer.

"This is shorter, we will go game by game as always, knowing that we are facing a great rival that excites us, excites us and generates expectations."

Atletico defeated Real Madrid earlier this season.

Simeone continued: "In that game they had casualties that will be there now.

"We are in a different time, with other players different from those who played then and we will play it as we believe."
