Arsenal have handed Dutch youngster Guy Smit a two week trail, according to reports from the Daily Star.
Smit was released by NEC Nijmegen at the end of last season and he had managed to earn the attention of the likes of Brighton & Hove Albion and Arsenal.
It can now be revealed that Smit has been picked up by Arsenal and the youngster joins the Gunners on a two-week trial.
Speaking about the move, Smit told Dutch newspaper De Gelderlander: "This opportunity I have to seize."
