Chelsea midfielder Marco van Ginkel is delighted for teammate Mason Mount over his success on-loan with Vitesse Arnhem this season.
Van Ginkel, who won the Eredivisie title with PSV Eindhoven this term, says he saw Mount as a little brother.
He told Voetbal International: "I saw him a bit like my little brother. Occasionally I helped him. I did say that he had to win more tackles, for example.
"From what I've seen, he's been certainly the best man on the field. He naturally has a rather quiet character."
Dad Tony also says: "Mason could've returned to England last winter to be loaned again. Just at that moment Mason proved from which wood he was cut. He did not want to return himself. Mason wanted to prove that he was good enough for Vitesse."
