Tranmere boss Parkinson happy with Liverpool loanee Glatzel

Tranmere Rovers first-team coach Andy Parkinson is pleased with the progress of Liverpool loanee Paul Glatzel.

The 20-year-old joined Tranmere in July - his first loan move from Liverpool - and has played eight times for the League One club.

"We're pleased he got the opportunity to play, which is important. Paul has come in on his first loan, and first loans are always traditionally difficult," Parkinson told the Liverpool Echo.

"He is making good progress, we're working with him constantly and we're in communication with Liverpool regarding his development.

"It's important to remember that Paul is coming back from a long-term injury as well, so we're well-aware of that. It's a collective effort between ourselves and Liverpool, for us to play a part in Paul's development.

"He's settled in well. Everyone at the club is approachable and adjusting to surroundings here is one of the easiest things to do because of the approach we have. You've then got to show the development, which he's doing."
