Takefusa Kubo is excited with his move to Real Madrid.

The former Barcelona junior will leave FC Tokyo after Japan's Copa America campaign for Madrid.

"I am very happy to have signed for Real Madrid," he told Marca.

"I'm calm. It's a normal day, but I'm very happy."

There is one member of the Japan side currently playing in Spain and that is Getafe midfielder Gaku Shibasaki, who will surely offer Kubo some advice on life in Madrid.
