Daniel Sturridge is excited to have joined Trabzonspor.

The former Liverpool striker has signed a two-year deal with Trabzonspor with the option for another 12 months.

Sturridge said, "We all have a common goal of success. I hope we catch happiness at the end of the season and I will be a part of that happiness.

“I am really excited about the new challenge and I am very happy to be here. I would like to thank the president, the managers and especially the supporters. They have a big share in me coming here.

"I saw how excited they were yesterday (the day before). I will do my best for the success of our team."

Trabzonspor president Ahmet Agaoglu added, “Sturridge, will improve Trabzonspor's community and the country's football. Daniel is a well-known star in world football. We have great expectations from him."
