An Australian-Swiss duo are being linked with a significant investment in AC Milan. London-based newspaper Hayat reports the two businessmen involved are a Swiss, of Lebanese origin, Fahd Merebi, who is an "executive director of the investment fund Zurich Capital " and Aussie Shuham Morgan, who is described as the "director of the investment fund Easycap".

The pair made direct contact with Milan to table their proposal and have since held a series of meetings to discuss a potential stake in the club.

The initial offer was for 30 per cent of the Rossoneri, but Merebi says their consortium are now open to buying the club lock, stock and barrel.

It's suggested the group are willing to put $500 million on the table to take a majority stake off Silvio Berlusconi's hands.
