Southampton are set to place a bid for French wonderkid Yann Karamoh, according to reports from The Sun.

Southampton's new manager Mauricio Pellegrino will surely be looking to improve his squad this summer with a few new signings.

And recently, reports have claimed that the Argentine boss is considering a swoop for Caen youngster Yann Karamoh.

Karamoh, who has been likened to French sensation Kylian Mbappe, has one year remaining on his current deal with Caen.

Despite a lawyer advising the attacker to run down the final season of his current terms to maximise a deal on a free, Southampton are keen on signing the 18-year-old this summer for a fee of around £8.75million.
