Senegal are set to be the subject of FIFA disciplinary proceedings at the World Cup.
The African nation, who are also AFCON champions, qualified for the Round of 16 after a 2-1 win over Ecuador in their final group stage game.
They are set to take on England in the last 16 over the weekend, despite missing star striker Sadio Mane throughout the tournament.
However, the Senegal FA is set to face a FIFA probe as they reportedly failed to comply with the governing body's regulations before the Ecuador match.
The matter involves their pre-match press conference, with Senegal not having a player present when manager Aliou Cisse gave his press conference.
FIFA are unhappy with that decision and may fine the Senegalese FA.
A statement read: "The FIFA Disciplinary Committee has opened proceedings against the Senegalese Football Federation due to the potential breaches of article 44 of the Regulations for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, article 2.7.2 of the Media and Marketing Regulations and article 8.5.3 of the Team Handbook.
"The potential breaches relate to the mandatory press conference that took place on 28 November ahead of the Ecuador v. Senegal FIFA World Cup™ match."
