San Jose Earthquakes striker Innocent Emeghara has been suspended for one match following his challenge against Real Salt Lake on the weekend.
The Nigerian clattered into RSL midfielder Luke Mulholland in the 41st minute of his side's 1-0 defeat at the Avaya Stadium which has brought about retrospective action from the MLS Commission.
Emeghara has copped a one-match ban after his initial yellow card while the Quakes have been fined for failing to keep their players in check after they surrounded referee Armando Villarreal.
Emeghara, who joined from Azerbaijan side Qarabag in January, will now be sidelined for the weekend's meeting with the Western Conference's top side Vancouver Whitecaps.
