Red Star Belgrade coach Vladan Milojevic refused to criticise his players after defeat to Champions League opponents Tottenham.
Red Star lost 4-0 at the Marakana last night.
But Milojevic said, "Well, here ... Congratulations to Tottenham on their well-deserved victory. We tried to play a different match than in London. To reduce the space that Tottenham players use with the class they own.
"We have done quite well, as far as we can. We had a good chance with the result at 0:0 and even at 1:0, but we did not succeed."
He added: "I would like to thank the fans and congratulate them. I am especially pleased that we have shown that we are a dignified club, that we have dignified fans. That all concerns, all prejudices of our guests from England are not confirmed. I don't think that will happen again in the future."
