Real Madrid confirmed James Rodriguez was injured before their clash with Eibar on Sunday.

James was named in the starting XI, but then withdrawn to be replaced by Mateo Kovacic.

Real confirmed after the 1-1 draw:

"Following tests carried out today on James Rodríguez, he has been diagnosed with a grade 1 muscle strain in the soleus muscle of his left leg."
