QPR boss Harry Redknapp says he was impressed by trialist Pablo Alvarez, despite not offering him terms.
The 30-year-old has been without a club since leaving Italian side Calcio Catania in the summer and trained with the R's recently.
"He's gone back," said the QPR boss. "He was a good player so I let him come and train. He paid his own expenses and people brought him over.
"He had a good attitude and would do a job for somebody, but I don't need him here.
