Paulo Pezzolano is set to be confirmed new coach of Real Valladolid.
The Uruguayan, 39, will arrive from Cruzeiro - which Valladolid president Ronaldo Nazario also owns.
Pezzolano is a former Mallorca defender and has also coached Pachuca and Liverpool de Montevideo.
Valladolid sports chief Fran Sanchez confirmed: "He will arrive today.
"We haven't officially announced it because the license and the documents are missing. But if everything goes well, let's hope he can train and be on the bench on Sunday."
Pezzolano arrives after the dismissal of Pacheta following Valladolid's 6-0 thrashing at Real Madrid on the weekend.
