Sunderland outcast Charis Mavrias is wanted by Panathinaikos on a permanent deal.
Mavrias was signed by former Black Cats manager Paolo Di Canio for £2million back in 2013 but the young winger struggled to establish himself as a regular in the first team at the Stadium of Light.
As a result, the 21-year old was offloaded to Panathinaikos at the start of the current campaign and after impressing, it has been reported by the Chronicle that the Greek side are looking to turn the deal into a permanent one at the end of the season.
With Mavrias set to enter the final year of his three-year contract at the Stadium of Light, Sunderland will have no qualms in offloading the winger.
