Orlando City back to school with Seminole State College

Seminole State College of Florida has been named as the official education partner of Major League Soccer (MLS) expansion team Orlando City, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/.

As part of the deal the college, which is headquartered in Sanford, Florida, will collaborate with the club, with one student per year winning a scholarship funded by Orlando City, while one of the team's players every year will be granted a place to study at the college.

Furthermore, the club's non-English speaking players will be able to participate in language programmes offered by Seminole State's English Language Institute.

"This is a great partnership that aligns with our core business model and further demonstrates our long-term commitment in Seminole County," said Rob Parker, Orlando City's vice president of corporate partnerships.

"Seminole State College has opened many opportunities for our Club to engage with young fans and players, and we are looking forward to working on providing them with additional benefits and services to support their endeavours."
