Oaktree are willing to grant Inter Milan an extension to the deadline set to repay their loan.
With interest, Inter owners Suning now must pay €375m to Oaktree by May 20.
However, with the Chinese struggling to find the money, Oaktree are willing to compromise.
Il Sole 24 Ore journalist Carlo Festa is reporting: "The hypothesis is circulating in financial circles that Oaktree will briefly extend the agreement with (Inter president Steven) Zhang in order to give him more time to find an alternative: a buyer or a refinancer."
Zhang is in China, where he has been for the entire season.
