West Ham midfielder James Ward-Prowse says victory at Wolves is ideal preparation for their clash against Bayer Leverkusen.

The Hammers face Bayer in the first-leg of their Europa League quarterfinal on Thursday.

Ward-Prowse said: “It's an important period of the season, so getting the three points is huge and it puts us in a positive position. We just need to make sure we don't put ourselves in that position at the end again!

“We'll take the momentum from today into the trip to Germany in midweek. I came to the Club for games and nights like that, so I'm really looking forward to it.

“We know Leverkusen are a good side, but we believe in ourselves. Hopefully we can go there, use the positives from today's result and bring something back to London Stadium for the second leg."
