Newcastle United midfielder Sean Longstaff admits he enjoyed their FA Cup derby win at Sunderland.
It was the first time in eight years the Northeast rivals had come together.
Longstaff said: "Some people want them down, but me as a player, for North East football in general to get Sunderland and Middlesbrough back in the Premier League would be terrific.
"It sounds bad but last year in the play-offs we wanted them to win and come up just to experience days like that.
"Your career is so short.
"It's a day that will live forever so hopefully a few more to come."
He added: "In a game that has not happened in a long time you could feel the nerves, the excitement and tension all wrapped up into one.
"But we controlled the emotion really well, and I thought we deserved the win in the end.
