West Brom boss Tony Mowbray has admitted Portuguese star Filipe Teixeira's still needs more time at the training ground. But Mowbray feels the player, who has not played since rupturing his cruciate against Plymouth last March, is not yet ready for his Premier League bow.
Saturday week's home game against Blackburn is perhaps the more realistic target.
"Filipe's okay - we hope to have him back training today," said Mowbray.
"Last week wasn't a major problem - just a tightness in his calf and a little too soon for him.
"If he needs a few more days then we will wait and see.
"But Saturday will come too soon I would suggest - he probably needs another week's training.
"We may play him in the reserves tomorrow but we'll see."
