High profile intermediary Vincenzo Morabito has revealed Olivier Giroud chose AC Milan ahead of an offer from Manchester City last year.
Giroud moved to Milan as a free agent after coming off contract at Chelsea.
Morabito told Nicolo Schira: "He had chosen to come to AC Milan since February, but Chelsea had broken his promise to sell him without transfer compensation.
"(Paolo) Maldini wanted him and was determined to sign him. Olivier agreed to lower his salary to come to Milan. He rejected several offers to come.
"Manchester City, Tottenham, West Ham and New York City FC wanted Olivier, but he chose to come to Milan."
