Patrice Bernier has been nominated to win the BMO Canadian Player of the Year award.
The Montreal Impact midfielder is in the running for the prize after scooping his clubs Most Valuable Player award in 2012 in a season which netted him nine goals and eight assists from 27 appearances.
Bernier, who returned to Montreal this year after stints in Europe with Moss FK, Tromso, Kaiserslautern, Nordsjaelland and Lyngby BK, was also recalled to the Canadian national team for recent World Cup qualifiers against Panama.
