Vincenzo Montella admits being in charge of AC Milan was a dream come true.

Montella is currently a free agent.

“I got along well at every club, but Milan was my dream as a player and it was wonderful to be there as a coach," revealed Montella on Sky Sport Italia.

“I worked with Papu Gomez at Catania and I say with a little regret that he really made his mark with Atalanta, because I had tried to sign him for both Fiorentina and Milan before that.

"He is more instinctive now and covers the field perfectly, while Gian Piero Gasperini had an inspired idea to move him into a more central role."
