Man Utd open Monaco talks for Axel Disasi

Manchester United have opened talks with AS Monaco for Axel Disasi.

Telefoot says United have made contact with the defender's current employers. Disasi, 24, was part of Didier Deschamps' squad that reached the World Cup final in December, as they lost on penalties to Argentina.

Disasi made history at the tournament in Qatar by becoming the first France international to make his senior debut during a World Cup since 1966. He came through the ranks at Paris FC before joining Reims in 2016 and Monaco four years later.

Disasi has gone on to play more than 100 games for the French giants since his most recent transfer.

It is believed Bayern Munich are also interested in his services.
