Liverpool striker Taiwo Awoniyi produced a five-star debut for loan club NEC Nijmegen.

He netted a brace and provided two assists in a 5-0 win on Thursday.

The Nigerian made his bow as the Eredivisie club got in some extra match practice during the international break, taking on German sixth-tier outfit FC Kleve in a friendly fixture.

NEC resume their league campaign against PSV on September 10, and Awoniyi will hope his efforts have done enough to earn him a starting berth for that fixture.
