Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler admits he wants to manage in England.
Fowler is currently in charge of A-League club Brisbane Roar.
The 45-year-old applied for four jobs with third-tier clubs but was never even interviewed.
"Nothing," said Fowler in an interview with the Daily Mail. "Just the odd thank you. Sometimes there wasn't even a thanks."
On the Roar, he continued: "We had a tough start. We won two of our first 11.
"We were playing good football, but it was just a case of getting your footprint on things. Mine and Granty's belief was that we could still make them a better team.
"We got there in the end. Since Christmas we were by far the best form team. A little saying had developed locally before we came home that I couldn't quite believe - 'Fowler-ball'.
"Straight away, when people are saying it, you feel like you have got an identity. We want to be hard to beat. We got good results."
