Newcastle United loan star Lewis Hall has lifted the lid on his experiences so far this season.
The youngster arrived in the summer in a deal that will see the Magpies buy him permanently in the off-season from Chelsea.
While he has not been a regular starter, he believes that next season will be the moment he breaks through as a first teamer.
Hall told Chronicle Live: "It was a mixture of everything. It was obviously frustrating not playing. It is not like I have not been doing anything, I have been working really hard behind the scenes. All the coaches and players have helped me so much and made me feel part of it.
"I feel like I have improved certain aspects of my game quite a lot. I am hoping now towards the end of the season I can continue to show my abilities and what I have improved on, to help the team."
He then added: "I feel good. It (muscular injury) came with not playing too much to then playing a lot of games with internationals and coming back and playing in a short space of time.
"It was a mix of fatigue as well. I feel really good now and I can kick on. I have been working hard behind the scenes. I am happy to be getting a lot more minutes and when I am out there I am happy. It is an amazing feeling. "It was a really good win too, a repeat of last season in terms of scoreline almost."
